Our Vision

Freedom Farm Azul is dedicated to legacy building and harm disruption through healing.

Given our history, Alabama is more than deserving of an access-centered space of its own.

Below you will find our map, along with our three-prong approach to this work.

Healing.

Our communities are not without healers, but we lack space to activate our networks to produce healing experiences that are affordable and accessible. This farm will provide healers with a platform to host and amplify their offerings throughout the region. Freedom Farm Azul will offer southern healers a space to host mindfulness, herbal remedy courses, and post-release transitional space for justice impacted community members.

Educating.

Like the community healers, we intend to offer educational experiences that tackle an array of subjects. These curated offerings will amplify the impact of our local talent. This social capital activation is a direct act of resistance against structural violence. It is also a crucial element in personal and communal development. This includes providing affordable space for movement organizers to build in peace, without the economic burden "space" can often become.

Nourishing.

Experience is a key component in perspective-shifting. We will lean on the rich collective memory and history of Alabama to reacquaint ourselves with land stewardship and healthy food consumption. This third prong is a vital component of our mission.

“Freedom Farm Azul is an homage to my elders and ancestors both near and far.”
